This simple no-cook quick pizza sauce makes for a great pizzeria tasting pizza. It's made with just a few ingredients and requires no cooking. If you are going to make homemade pizza it's totally worth making a homemade sauce. You can adjust the seasonings to your liking. I list what spices I like to use, but feel free to change it up in any way you'd like. There are no added sugars to this sauce (like many pre-made sauces) so it is definitely low carb and keto friendly (1.5g net carbs per serving).
The great thing about this sauce is you don't have to cook it. It cooks right along with your pizza. If you have time to make ahead the flavors will meld together. But if not, it is just as good made right before assembling your favorite pizza. What is your favorite pizza? My Favorite Pizza Sauce
Makes 8 servings (for 1 very large pizza cut into 8 slices)
Ingredients
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 cup water
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix together the tomato paste, water, and olive oil. Mix well. Add garlic, salt and pepper to taste, oregano, basil, and Italian seasoning. Mix well and let stand several hours to let flavors blend. No cooking necessary, just spread on dough.
